Louis Karchin
Described by The New Yorker as a coposer of “fearless eloquence,” Louis Karchin has been honored with performances of his music by such groups as the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center, the Louisville Orchestra, the Group for Contemporary Music, and the Da Capo Chamber Players. He is the recipient of Koussevitzky and Barlow Foundation Commissions, and two awards each from the American Academy of Arts and Letters, the National Endowment for the Arts, and the Fromm Music Foundation at Harvard University. He is Professor of Music at New York University.
Fabien Lévy
Fabien Lévya étudié la composition avec Gérard Grisey au Conservatoire de Paris. Il a été pensionnaire de la Villa Medicis à Rome et du DAAD à Berlin. Ses oeuvres, éditées chez Billaudot et Ricordi Allemagne, ont été jouées par l'Ensemble Argento, l'Ensemble Modern ou l'Orchestre symphonique de la radio de Berlin. Il a reçu en 2004 le Förderpreis de la fondation Ernst von Siemens pour la musique. Il a enseigné au Conservatoire de Berlin et est actuellement professeur de composition à la Columbia University de New-York. Il vit à New York et Berlin.
